Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 May 2026

At Duepad, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have in relation to your data when you use the Duepad service ("Service").

By using Duepad, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account information — your name and email address when you sign up or join a waitlist.
  • Subscription data — the names, costs, renewal dates, and member lists of subscriptions you create or join.
  • Access credentials — login details you voluntarily store for shared subscriptions. These are encrypted at rest.
  • Usage data — how you interact with the Service (pages visited, features used, clicks) to help us improve the product.
  • Device & log data — IP address, browser type, operating system, and timestamps, collected automatically when you use the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Duepad Service.
  • Send renewal reminders, poll notifications, and summary emails on your behalf.
  • Calculate and display cost splits to members of a shared subscription.
  • Improve and personalise your experience.
  • Communicate with you about updates, new features, or important notices.
  • Monitor and analyse usage trends to improve the Service.
  • Detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Within your group — your name, avatar initials, and confirmation status are visible to other members of a shared subscription you belong to.
  • Service providers — trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g. cloud hosting, email delivery). They are contractually bound to keep your data secure.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Duepad or its users.
  • Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified in advance.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. All stored credentials (passwords/login details) are encrypted using industry-standard encryption. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete your account at any time, after which your data will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain session state. We may also use analytics cookies (e.g. privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics) to understand how the Service is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
  • Request a portable copy of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@duepad.co.

8. Children's Privacy

Duepad is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will promptly remove it.

9. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are significant, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notice.
